Google’s History

Google was founded in 1996 during a project called “BackRub”, at which time Larry Page and Sergey Brin were both pursuing PhDs at Stanford University in California. You may be surprised to learn that Google wasn’t created by Larry Page and Sergey Brinha. It was just a concept group. It was created by Stock Hassan by writing programming for Google, but Hassan left the project before Google became a corporate company because he wanted to pursue a career in robotics.

When the topic was being chosen for the project, Larry Page and Sergey Brin both came up with the idea of creating a web page that would give people instant answers. Page and Brin presented the idea to their supervisor. Encouraged by this, the same webpage concept was introduced to Stock Hassan, who understood and started writing programming code for it.

The first version of Google was published in August 1996. The version was circulated on the Stanford University website.

In early 1999, Brin and Page proposed to the CEO of that Google should be sold for Rs 10 lakh. was also a popular website in 1999. The proposal was rejected by the CEO of Excite.Com, and Google’s office was changed a few months after the proposal was rejected. 

Until the year 2000, Google launched various projects and Google started to have success with them, the biggest and most successful of which was the Google Chrome Browser. Since then, Google has emerged in a new form all over the world.

When Google was invented, it was just like a website, but with the registration of Google in 1998, Google was transformed into a private company.
